Liberals and the paycheck party

The Minimum Laws Liberals hate the paycheck party What about me?

Minimum Wage
What's up with that crazy minimum wage, anyway? It's not like anybody could actually live on that, could they? Could you? What if you had to live on it some day? Plus, it's dragging our salaries downward.

Minimum Vacation
Our favorite paycheck party proposal guarantees anyone who works 30 paid vacation days a year, plus holidays. Could save the travel industry in one fell swoop and reduce unemployment drastically.

Minimum Health Care
If 47 million people are working their rear ends off for bosses too cheap to buy them health care insurance, then why not pass a law making it illegal to not give it to them? No more deductions from your paycheck, either. Not in the paycheck party way of doing things!

Minimum Severance Pay
Severance pay is the money bosses get when they quit or get fired for doing an even crappier job than they usually do. It's time to give this great benefit to everyone else in the company, too. Not just the boss and his buddies, but all of us.

Minimum Pension Plan
Why privatize social security when it works fine just the way it is. Sure, it's not enough money to live on, but that's where a law requiring businesses to save money for when you are ready to retire for you is needed. And you keep it even if you quit or get fired, too.

Actually, there's no good reason for anyone to hate the Paycheck Party, since WE ARE the Paycheck Party, unless you are independently wealthy and don't have to work for a living, or a loser who refuses to work.

The Paycheck Party is an idea that should appeal to any politician who wants to get elected without having to get on his hands and knees and beg rich corporations and the rich bosses who control them for money all the time. Because if you back any of the Minimum Laws, it's easy to see why anyone in your district might want to vote for you: You would actually be backing a law that is absolutely guaranteed to make life better for your constituents.

There are many reasons why liberals are inclined to hate the idea of the paycheck party, and the most important one is that the paycheck party is at the very least half Republican conservatives. By definition, if you look at the statistics, you will see that nearly half of the people who get up and go to work every day for a paycheck are the people you love to hate: conservatives.

I can just see some dyed in the wool liberal going into the voting booth and voting against having 30 days of vacation a year. I can just see him wishing he could stomach voting for some supposedly conservative politician who has been making vague promises about maybe doing something for the paycheck party if he gets elected. But a true liberal would rather vote to have his whole family rounded up and put into concentration camps than pull the lever for a damned conservative.

But the good news is that any smart liberal politician can get on the paycheck party bandwagon and start getting us some benefits from the government. If he's smart enough he'll have all the swing voters and even a few conservatives who know what side their bread's buttered on voting for him too.

Because whn you get right down to it, as long as the politicians are finally waking up to the idea that the biggest party in the country is the paycheck party, they can start thinking up some ways to get us some laws keeping the bosses off our backs and keeping them from firing us and throwing us out into the streets without having to hire a bunch of laywers to argue for us.

Oh yeah. And as far as I'm concerned, I'd rather have 30 days of vacation a year than another fifty dollar tax break any day of the week. I'm tired of liberal politicians giving us these teensy weensy tax breaks and expecting us to stay bought and paid for with penny ante nonsense. It's an insult to my intelligence compared to what they could really do.

If you want another insult to your intelligence, then read the page I wrote for the conservatives and notice how it's almost exactly the same as this, except I swapped 'conservative' for 'liberal'. Because it's just two sides of the same messed up coin, this partisan crap the politicians have been force feeding us to hide their own incompetence, and the paycheck party hates one side as much as the other these days.

If you don't make nearly enough money compared to what you ought to then click here.

But don't even click on any of the links above
if you think it's getting pretty obvious that no matter who you think you are, you are just a person who gets up and goes to work every day and is tired of being ignored by your own elected officials. I hope you are starting to get the idea that 'divide and conquer' is the simple and effective strategy that the politicians and bosses have been using for years to keep us confused about what they should be doing for us.
