Paycheck Party: If you earn a paycheck, you're in the party

The Minimum Laws Paycheck Party Rules What about me?

Minimum Wage
What's up with that crazy minimum wage, anyway? It's not like anybody could actually live on that, could they? Could you? What if you had to live on it some day? Plus, it's dragging our salaries downward.

Minimum Vacation
Our favorite paycheck party proposal guarantees anyone who works 30 paid vacation days a year, plus holidays. Could save the travel industry in one fell swoop and reduce unemployment drastically.

Minimum Health Care
If 47 million people are working their rear ends off for bosses too cheap to buy them health care insurance, then why not pass a law making it illegal to not give it to them? No more deductions from your paycheck, either. Not in the paycheck party way of doing things!

Minimum Severance Pay
Severance pay is the money bosses get when they quit or get fired for doing an even crappier job than they usually do. It's time to give this great benefit to everyone else in the company, too. Not just the boss and his buddies, but all of us.

Minimum Pension Plan
Why privatize social security when it works fine just the way it is. Sure, it's not enough money to live on, but that's where a law requiring businesses to save money for when you are ready to retire for you is needed. And you keep it even if you quit or get fired, too.

Here are a few simple rules about the Paycheck Party:

Rule number one:
If you get a paycheck, you're in the party. If you sign a paycheck, you're not. No bosses allowed.

There's nothing simpler than the paycheck party. It's so damn simple, politicians, lawyers, bankers, pundits and radio talk show hosts will probably never get it. The simple fact that all of us out here going to work everyday aren't getting any benefits at all from their lies and distractions is something they just can't understand.

That's because all these bosses and their rich buddies have no idea what it's like to have to earn a normal everyday paycheck. And this makes them think that they're smarter than us. They think they've got us all fooled.

Rule number two:
No politicians allowed in the paycheck party. Of all the people in this country who have no idea what it's like to do an honest day's work, politicians are the least qualified to know how a paycheck earner really feels about anything important.

Politicians go into politics because they don't want to work. They do it because they don't mind begging for their money from the bosses and their buddies. They have no pride at all, the way they abjectly debase themselves before their only masters, the rich bosses who fund their campaigns.

Rule number three:
The paycheck party, which is who we are whenever we get up and go to work, is all about the paycheck and nothing but the paycheck. How to make it bigger, how to make getting it easier, how to keep getting it without losing our dignity. The paycheck party is both conservative and liberal, and is both Republican and Democrat. The paycheck party is far more important than these two fringe parties, and for most of us, will take the place of the divide and conquer ways of thinking that force us to be labeled conservatives or liberals.

Because there are no politicians allowed in the paycheck party, it's not a political party. It's a way of figuring out whether or not the politicians you have to choose from are actually doing anything for you or if they are simply kissing the shiny behinds of their traditional constituents, the bosses who think they run this country.

All you have to do is check and see which candidate is actually proposing to do something for you that the bosses won't like. Then you just hold your nose and vote for the lying weasel, hoping against hope that he will actually make some small effort to lessen our burden. Republican or Democrat, Libertarian or Socialist, whatever crazy political party it is doesn't matter; just does he support us, the paycheck party, or not?

Rule number four:
Everyone hates the paycheck party. Ask any boss. Ask any of the bosses' buddies, or any politician or economist or pundit or newspaper columnist or self-appointed expert on everything. They will tell you any kind of lie they can imagine to try to convince you that doing anything at all to upset the status quo will result in hellfire and brimstone, economic collapse, third world style inflation, and world wide depression followed by plagues and mass slaughter. They will do it with graphs, charts, statistics, innuendo, outright lies and loud-mouthed ravings. But none of them can escape the simple fact that it's all just a trick to keep us from getting any kind of benefit from their political shell game. It's their scam, designed to keep them far richer than most of us can ever dream we'll get to be.

if you think it's getting pretty obvious that no matter who you think you are, you are just a person who gets up and goes to work every day and is tired of being ignored by your own elected officials. I hope you are starting to get the idea that 'divide and conquer' is the simple and effective strategy that the politicians and bosses have been using for years to keep us confused about what they should be doing for us.
